Honest Review: Mamaearth Onion Hair Fall Control Shampoo

Updated: Aug 17, 2020

Every time the season changes, my struggle with hair fall begins. And like always, my hair started acting up all again. So, this time I thought of trying much raved about Mamaearth Onion Hair Fall Control Shampoo and conditioner. And here is my mini review of it:

  • Where to buy

Generally, I make most of my purchase through Nykaa but this time I bought it from Mamaearth’s official website, and as it was my first purchase I got a 15% discount by using code “NEW15”. It’s still applicable so you can use this in case you are hoping to buy anything from there.

My friend and I both bought it at the same time and I would like to mention that it worked out for me to a very little extent but the results were horrible for her. My friend has dry hair already and the use of this shampoo made them so dry that she was not even able to comb. Since I have an oily scalp, the dryness hasn’t impacted me much but stickiness was beyond imagination. By stickiness, I mean you will feel as if the shampoo is still there on your scalp even after washing and drying your hair thoroughly. And conditioner just made everything worst. So I stopped using it after my 2 or 3 wash.

  • Pros

1. Cruelty-free

2. Free from toxins and chemicals like mineral oil and dyes

3. May reduce hair fall to a very little extent

  • Cons

1. Too strong smell and not in a good way

2. Makes hair dry and sticky

3. Brings itchiness

4. Does not strengthen hair as it says

I had a lot of expectations from this shampoo but I am just disappointed. Maybe, I will try their other products in the future but I am sure I will not going to purchase this ever again.

Hair after first wash (unable to comb)

With this, we come to the end of today’s blog. I hope it was useful.

Love,

Sakshi
