I Tried a 3-Day Juice Fast with Satvic Movement — Here's the Honest Truth

Updated: May 24

Fasting has become the new avocado toast of the health and fitness world. Everyone’s doing it, everyone’s talking about it — and honestly, thanks to western science, we got reintroduced to something our dadi already knew.

I’ve been living the intermittent fasting life for about 2.5 years now — and spoiler alert: I love it. But recently, YouTube’s algorithm decided I wasn’t doing enough and threw a curveball at me — a 3-day juice fasting workshop by Satvic Movement.

I was intrigued but not obsessed… until this April. I signed up for their April 1st to 3rd Juice Fast, and let’s just say, it was not an April Fool’s joke. 😅 Here's everything you need to know if you're considering it, along with all the juicy details (pun 100% intended).

🥤 What is Juice Fasting?

According to Satvic Movement, juice fasting = a solid food vacation. For 3 entire days, you ditch all solids and sip only on freshly made vegetable and fruit juices (no boxed stuff here, boss). Think of it as your digestive system checking into a wellness retreat.

💸 How Much Does the Satvic Juice Fasting Workshop Cost?

Rs.450 + taxes. That’s it.

The best part? There’s no limit to how many people can attend under one login, so feel free to split it with your friend (and suffer together 💀).

🌱 Why Juice Fasting? (Aka Benefits That Satvic Talks About)

Here’s what juice fasting is claimed to help with:

  • Full body detox 🧼

  • Reduced cravings (food and maybe even toxic people)

  • Glowing skin and better digestion

  • More mental clarity and focus

  • Feeling like a monk who’s also into Pinterest smoothies

🤯 My Honest Experience

Day 1: Torture. Pure torture. I was dreaming about chole bhature at 11 AM.

Day 2: Slightly better. The workshops kept me distracted.

Day 3: Plot twist — I was actually energetic! Yes, even while being on my period. Wild.

I didn't have major detox symptoms, but some others in the community did experience headaches, bad breath, and fatigue. So it really varies from person to person.

The Satvic team kept us engaged with yoga, meditations, and info-packed sessions, which genuinely helped me stay on track.

How my day was like during juice fasting?

  • 8:00 AM: Wake up and freshen up (zero snoozing allowed)

  • 8:30 AM: Deep breathing + journaling to calm the chaos

  • 9:00 AM: Juice #1 – Ash Gourd Juice (honestly, not a fan 😅)

  • 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Morning workshop with Satvic fam

  • 12:00 PM: Juice #2 – ABC Juice (Apple + Beetroot + Carrot = actually yum)

  • 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Workshop part 2

  • 2:30 PM: Juice #3 – Green Juice (Spinach, Ginger, Carrot, Apple)

  • 5:00 PM: Coconut water break 🌴

  • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Final workshop

  • 8:00 PM: Another round of coconut water

  • 9:00 PM: Crash. Out. Cold.

✅ Pros of the Satvic Juice Fast

  • Full-on detoxification

  • You feel like a superhuman for resisting food

  • Your body starts craving real food (not chips, for once)

  • Community support = emotional stability

  • Yoga + Meditation included

  • Day-long workshops = No time to obsess over food

❌ Cons (Yes, There Were a Few)

  • Workshops felt one-sided at times

  • You might feel weak, moody, or headache-y

  • 3 days without food is NOT a joke

  • Breaking the fast wrong = Disaster Mode

  • Honestly... I missed food. A lot. Like, emotionally.

🧠 Some Fasting Tips You’ll Thank Me For Later

  1. Block your calendar – no parties, no brunches. Be a hermit.

  2. Don’t rely only on fruit juices – veggie juices detox better.

  3. Skip your HIIT workout for the week. Your body is working hard already.

  4. Hydrate like a cactus after a desert storm.

  5. Day 1 = toughest. Don’t skip workshops – they save lives.

  6. Medical conditions? Doctor first. Juice later.

Also, I went full-on antisocial for 3 days (except for a few "I'm alive" calls to mom and dad). It helped. No distractions, no judgment.

Will I Ever Do This Again?

Ummm.... no!! I find this experience was too much for me.

I would not do it again. Because 3 days is rather a long period of time without the food and 1 day extra is taken to break the fast which if gone wrong affects very badly. I don't have enough patience for the same and anyways, I missed food throughout.

But.. but..I would def. continue fasting for 1 day in month to make sure I give rest to my digestive system.

⚠️ Final Word of Caution

If you're considering this to lose weight, please stop. Just... stop.

Yes, you might drop a kilo or two, but it’s water weight. It'll boomerang back the moment you eat again. This fast is for healing, resetting, and detoxing — not for a quick-fix weight loss plan.

I probably had them too. Drop them in the comments or check Satvic Movement’s here.

Until next time...

Stay juicy, stay weird.

XOXO

Yes, it is after their emphasis only people started to copy it which our ancestors were doing from ages. I guess colonization is not easy to leave. Is it?
